Takigawa Koi Farm

The farm is nestled in the picturesque Sera-gun, Hiroshima countryside and was first started by Hiroaki Takigawa, who previously had worked as one of the only staff members of Sakai Fish Farm, back in the early days.

Hassei, Takigawa-Sans son is now a major part of the farm, and it’s great to see him putting his personal touches to the business and striving to grow and develop the farm for the future. We’re looking forward to watching and following his journey!

Takaigawa Koi Farm produce mainly Kohaku, but also Showa and Sanke. They also produce some Goshiki and Goromo, of which the farm became famous for in the early days.

The farm is different to most due to its unique setting, it always seems calm and tranquil. Takaigawa-San has invested in and taken pride in this land and mud ponds, with most being sculpted into the landscape with designed planting around them.
